FAQ: Hourly Fee Agreements

What is your typical hourly fee?

We typically charge between $350 to $450 per hour for our professional services.

Do I have to pay any money up front?

We typically ask you to put down between $2,500 and $5,000 to cover our initial services.

By law, this advance deposit is your money.  We don't start earning the money until we perform the agreed-upon work.  For this reason, we keep your initial deposit fee in our trust account until we have earned the fee, at which point we transfer this money into our firm's general operating account.

Will I get any of the deposit back?

Sometimes we overestimate how much time it will take to resolve your case.  If this happens, we return whatever money we didn't earn.

For example:  you put down $1,000 as an initial deposit, and we agreed to charge you $250 per hour.  We spend 3 hours on your case.  Therefore, we earned $750, and you get back $250.

What happens when you've spent the initial deposit?

We we will then typically ask you to put down another deposit, usually in the same amount.  As with the initial deposit, we keep this money in our trust account until we earn the money.

Do you accept credit cards?

Yes.  We accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.

Do you offer military discounts?

Yes.  We offer a 10 percent discount off our professional fees to all active duty, reserve, and retired service members and their dependents.
